Serpentine Wild flower Meadow

The Council (High Peak Borough Council) created this wildflower meadow some years ago.  Cutbacks have reduced their capacity to maintain it, and they are now looking for alternative low-cost solutions.

We want to come up with a plan to preserve this as a wildflower site. The key is making sure that it is low maintenance. The land is very wet and boggy, so any planting needs to reflect this, but it is crucial that we have sites like this for the insects and the butterflies and of course the birds. We need more not less.
