High in the canopy a Chiffchaff sings in the cool early morning in Spring. I stop and turn on my Tascam, great for talking into but less good for recording bird song.

For a minute I listen to the song and unusually I can see the bird flirting about in the canopy. The dogs sight and sit down to wait for this nonsense to finish.
