As one of the sodden 570, who braved the wind and the rain that greeted the first Hen Harrier day back in 2014, the news that the Petition to ban driven grouse shooting has passed the 100,000 signatures mark is great news.
It is a remarkable achievement by all those involved but in particular the efforts of Chris Packham and Mark Avery have been outstanding and absolutely vital.
When the opposition start to try and get Chris Packham banned by the BBC and resort to mocking and joking about people’s mental health then you know that they have lost the argument. They are lashing out.
To quote Gandhi;
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”
